Important Things To Note For 2026!
1. Expanded Evaluation Days. Based on feedback from last year, we will be expanding player evaluations to additional divisions. Evaluations will now be held for all players in the Jr. Minor, Minor, and Major divisions. Multiple dates and times will be offered, and all players in these divisions are required to attend at least one evaluation.
2. Team Selection Process. All teams will be selected by coaches. While coach and player requests will still be available during registration, these requests do not guarantee placement on a specific team.
For each team, the head coach and up to two assistant coaches may have their own children placed on their team. All remaining players will be placed into a draft pool. During the selection meeting, coaches will take turns selecting one player at a time.
Siblings playing in the same division will continue to be placed on the same team. If a selected player has a sibling in the same division, that sibling will also be placed on the team, and the coach will forfeit their next selection(s).
Why This Matters
Over the past few seasons, the most common feedback we’ve received is that blowout games aren’t fun for anyone—and we agree. To create more competitive, balanced games, we need to level the playing field.
This means that coach and player requests will no longer influence team placement. We understand this may be an adjustment for some families, but we believe it’s an important step toward a better experience for all players. If a player is not placed on the same team as a friend, we encourage families to see this as an opportunity to make new friends and enjoy competing against familiar faces.
We will also be communicating this philosophy with our coaches to ensure every player feels welcomed, supported, and excited to be part of their team.
